Mixed Media

For my mixed media assignment, I chose to mess around with plants in my backyard.
The first picture, I changed the hue to make it look more interesting and added different filters to make some parts look painted/drawn. I then added flowers and butterflies to add more interest. For the second one, I added a grass with different colors to add more interest and I added a hint of red to the leaves on the left to balance out the red with the butterfly and grass. For the green in the background (the ice plants), I changed the filter to cutout to make it look like mixed media. Overall I thought the pictures came out well.

FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY

I had different ideas for my fine art but I chose to do 3 modes of fighting: 1) Fight for a passion, 2)Fight another person for personal reasons, 3) Fight oneself. They all relate to each other by having the characters be out in front showing that their indifferent personality and then in the background show a side that people may not know (by the way the models, nick and I, are just acting). I chose to do a black background because it blended in more with my theme and it contributed to a violent, angry atmosphere. It was difficult coming up with a position for the third one because I didn't know how to express fighting myself. I tried different things like physically fighting myself somehow but it ended up looking like suicide. Therefore I decided to appear frustrated with myself, like I was fighting against my mind.

One Sheet and Business Card

I redid my one sheet and business card. For my one sheet, I included examples of artwork I have done along with a couple of pieces from my series and changed the angle of the works. I made all of them straight to make it more professional. For the font, I made it more neutral and changed the color so that my art work stands out more. I repeated my pieces in the background to make the one sheet more of my own.
For my business card, I changed the color of the font because it did not go with the turquoise color very well. I made it gray-ish turquoise to make it blend better. I also changed the "SF" to a regular font because the edges weren't smooth.
